Bavarian Bakehouse signs up, Warrens Bakery expands
July 16, 2015
Glasgow’s Bavarian Bakehouse has joined the CyBake user family.
While artisan bakeries are popping up all over Glasgow right now, Bavarian Bakehouse predates them all. The company was founded in Kirkintilloch in 1984 by the Wichmanns, a German/Scottish family dedicated to the art of proper bread making and patisserie.
In 2011, they handed the firm on to new owners Kathleen and Martin McShane. A wholesale-only operation, the Bakehouse supplies delis, cafés and restaurants throughout the city and west-central Scotland.
St Just, Cornwall-based Warrens Bakery is expanding its use of CyBake by adding back-office functions to complement its existing CyBake Touch shop management software.
The company, which was founded in 1860 and is the world’s oldest Cornish Pasty maker, operates two production sites and 50 shops throughout Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. Its trade division, Simply Cornish, recently acquired The Cornish Crisp Company.
