Seek out Cybake at the Scottish Bakers Conference

It is time, once again, for lucky members of the Cybake team like me to make a pilgrimage to Glasgow for one of the planet’s best baking industry events – the Scottish Bakers Annual Conference and Awards Weekend.
The event takes place this Friday and Saturday, May 5-6, at the Glasgow Hilton.
Cybake is a long-term official supporter of the Scottish Bakers trade organisation, and we will be an exhibitor at the show.
On our stand will be myself and bakery software expert Andrew Throup, who was one of the original programmers of Cybake when he joined the company in 1999. Cybake itself celebrates 25 years of serving the baking industry this year.
Diplomacy is always the watchword for us before the Scottish Bakers Awards as so many bakeries that use Cybake are usually up against each other in the races to win the various categories.
This year, our runners and riders on the awards shortlist are: Bavarian Bakehouse, Cumbernauld; Baynes the Family Bakers, Lochore; Fisher and Donaldson, Cupar; Harry Gow Bakery, Inverness; Macleans Highland Bakery, Forres; Nevis Bakery, Fort William; T.A. Francis and Sons, Annan; and the winners of the overall Scottish Baker of the Year prize in 2022, The Three Little Bakers (pictured, above), Inverness.

If you are a follower of this and the other annual baking industry competitions held in the United Kingdom each year, you may think that there may be a correlation between using Cybake and being an award-winning British baker. I, of course, couldn’t possibly comment.
