Cybake to exhibit and speak at International Baking Industry Exposition

Cybake will be an exhibitor at this year’s International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) where our U.S. head of operations will present three education sessions.

Held every three years, IBIE takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from September 13-17.

Cybake is returning to the mammoth event for the second time after a successful debut as an exhibitor in 2022. We’ll be at booth #5338 in the North Hall showing off a whole bunch of new Cybake features.

These include our recently launched FSMA Rule 204-compliant lot-tracking and traceability module, a new way to print receipts for cash-on-delivery orders, and some further goodies that we are keeping under wraps for the time being.

Our USA head of operations, Luke Karl (pictured, above), who was a pro baker for many years before joining Cybake, has been selected by the event’s organizers to speak at three sessions.

His first will be at the Retail Bakers of America’s Business of Baking for Beginners event on Friday, September 13 on the topic of how artificial intelligence is affecting the baking industry.

On Saturday, September 14, you will be able to catch Luke’s next presentation, “How to automate your admin to build a more sustainable and profitable wholesale bakery”, at the Wholesale Bakers Stage 1 in the West Hall from 12:45 AM – 1:05 PM.

Here, he will highlight the phenomena of owners, managers and staff still engaged in repetitive paperwork and administration tasks, day in, day out, even in the most mechanized bakeries.

Luke aims to show delegates how these admin jobs can also be easily automated. And how, in doing so, bakery owners gain much better insight into their operations, providing the basis for more sustainable – and profitable – businesses.

On Tuesday, September 16, Luke will present “Retail baking: how to get your prices right, cut waste, and operate a wholesale subsidiary”.

In this session, he will discuss the best ways to set waste levels of products in stores – and how to get staff to keep to them. Luke will also look at how integrating purchasing with recipe costings gets product pricing just right, and at how retail bakeries operate successful wholesale sidelines.
