Major Welsh brand and Scottish artisan choose Cybake; Yorkshire wholesaler installs Infood

Pembrokeshire’s Tan y Castell and Edinburgh’s Bakery Adante have chosen Cybake bakery management systems and Wakefield’s CFC Food Partners has installed our FIR compliance solution, Infood.

Tan y Castell is one of Welsh bakery’s most instantly recognisable brands. The firm is the brainchild of owner Paul Mear who started off producing Welshcakes from his Pembrokeshire farm 18 years ago. Demand was so high that after a couple of supermarket listings, Paul and his wife Linda moved their business to its current base in Narberth.

Nowadays, Tan y Castell counts Harrods and Fortnum & Mason among its growing wholesale customer base as well as county councils, rail companies, airports and hotels. As well as its Welshcakes, the bakery specialises in griddles (a twist on the Welshcake theme), shortbread and traditional Bara Brith fruitcake.

We already count famed Edinburgh establishments Patisserie Joldo and Le Petit Francais among our users, so we are pleased to be adding another of the city’s bakery gems to our roster.

Named after the Italian expression for music at a slow tempo, Bakery Adante is an artisan shop and wholesaler situated in Edinburgh’s leafy Morningside district. Run by sourdough bread fanatic Jon Wood, the business has featured on the TV show Britain’s Best Bakery.

In other news, CFC Food Partners of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, has become the latest firm to ensure FIR compliance with our Cybake Infood solution.

CFC Food Partners was established in 1993 and supplies over 500 companies with ambient, chilled and frozen foods. It specialises in sandwich fillings and also sells items like cleaning materials and disposables.
