Zeppole Baking Company was founded in 1993 by a former attorney who trained in Europe to bring artisan bread to Boise, Idaho.

In 2006, Charles and Alison Alpers took over and as well as operating the bakery and café, they grew its wholesale business to nearly 100 clients across the region.
