Come along and talk to Cybake in Glasgow
The Cybake team is gearing up for this weekend’s Scottish Bakers Annual Conference.
Personally, I am super-excited as it will be the first time I have ever attended, despite spending my whole career in the baking industry. Also, one of the first things I learned when I first joined Cybake was the reverence the company has for bakers in Scotland.
In part, this is down to the sheer numbers of Scotland’s that relied on the old on-premises version of Cybake for many years before switching today’s cloud version.
But it is also a result of warmth with which our team has been welcomed over the decades, making the conference and awards ceremony one of the most important social events in our calendar and one which was sorely missed over the last couple of years.
On top of that, we can see at Cybake that there’s a real buzz building up for this key event.
Alasdair Smith, Scottish Bakers’ chief executive, agrees.
Talking to me for this blog, Alasdair said: “After a gap of nearly three years, I’m delighted that our Scottish Bakers family can once again come together at our 2022 Annual Conference and Awards weekend to meet old friends, make new ones, and celebrate the best bakes and bakeries in Scotland of our prestigious Scottish Baker of the Year awards.”
Of course, it is no exaggeration to say that the landscape in our industry has changed since the last conference.
Since then, bakeries increasingly needed a management system that colleagues could use remotely and across devices. They needed a system that could take orders online and from e-merchant sites and get them smoothly into production. And they wanted to do away with the hardware they had on-site.
They came to Cybake. So much so that demand led us to expand into the States and Australia.
The switch
A good example of a growing business that has recently made the switch from a legacy application to Cybake is Harry Gow, based in Inverness.
Fraser Gow, a director of the long-established family baking business, says: “We decided to partner with Cybake to future-proof our business as we have pushed the boundaries with tech projects in despatching, waste control and ordering using AI. They have stood side-by-side with us on this, answering every integration request we had. What we are able to get out the other end by way of reporting via BI is impressive.”
So, if you are interested in modernizing your bakery with the cost-savings, efficiencies, and superior management reporting offered by switching to Cybake, how about visiting our stand for a chat at the show? It all starts with a conversation.
I’ll be bringing my colleague Andrew Throup, easily one of the biggest experts on bakery software in the world, so I can promise you that no question, large or small, will go unanswered.
We don’t talk tech jargon; we talk baking business. We promise smooth migration from your old system, excellent support and one of the best things about the cloud – you only have to do it once.
