Dench Bakers ditches old ERP software for user-friendly Cybake

Dench Bakers is a wholesale artisan bakery in Abbotsford, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia.
Founded in 2015, it specializes in making quality handmade sourdough loaves as well lighter-yeasted breads, buns and pastries. Customers include cafes, restaurants and independent grocers throughout the local state of Victoria.
Dench Bakers used legacy ERP system GlobalBake to manage its operations before an external consultant recommended that it make the switch to Cybake® in early 2024.
Sarah James, office manager at Dench Bakers, says: “Cybake is much more user-friendly than our old system, and is easier to read. All the knowledge needed is in one place so that you don’t have to always switch screens.”
The bakery now uses Cybake to take online orders and to manage its recipes, costings and stock levels. It sends purchase orders to suppliers with Cybake and makes extensive use of the software’s business intelligence and reporting features.

Explaining the improvements Cybake has made to Dench Bakers’ processes, Sarah says: “Cybake allows our customers to place their own orders using the online platform, which has allowed for much better allocated time in the office. The reporting available provides valuable insights on which products to focus on.”
Would Dench Bakers recommend Cybake to other bakeries?
“We would recommend Cybake,” says Sarah. “Our main reason for this is that we use Xero, which integrates very well. Cybake also provides great knowledge around products and sales, and is very effective at breaking down our processes and making them understandable.”
