Cybake launches custom cake online ordering module at IBIE
Cybake has launched a brand-new custom cake online ordering module today at the International Baking Industry Exposition in Las Vegas.
The new module gives any type of commercial baker that offers customizable products such as cakes, donuts, or cupcakes, an online store where customers can place and pay for their orders.
Unlike most ecommerce platforms, it then takes those orders and generates the prep sheets required for every stage of production and decoration in the bakery, as well as packaging and delivery instructions.
There is no need for time consuming and error-prone manual calculations, paper notes, or spreadsheets. Cybake gives clear instructions to each station, whether it’s bases, filling, topping, decorating and piping, or packing.
Cybake tells staff what quantities of each batter flavor to prepare, the sizes and shapes of each layer or tier needed, and the types of filling and frosting patterns, customized toppers, and themed decorations required. It also issues the packing, pickup or delivery notes required for each order.
Cybake’s new module offers bakeries a perfect way to drive sales by giving their customers the convenience of ordering online.
Bakeries can also save huge amounts of time, as it takes at least 15-20 minutes of a bakery store clerk’s time to take a custom cake order in person or on the phone. And, as customers create the orders themselves, costly communications errors and misunderstandings are greatly reduced.
Complex orders
Designed to take complex orders, Cybake’s custom cake online ordering module is itself highly customizable. Cybake’s customer service team will help bakeries that subscribe to the module to configure it to the levels of complexity that they require for, for example, choices for filling, frosting, or flavors of layers of sponge.
Bakery customers can then use the online shop included with the module to build their cakes within these limits. Customers can upload photos and images as references for designs, logos, pictures, colors, and edible visuals. Customers can also set up a time for pick up or delivery service.
Cybake’s custom cake online ordering module gives bakers the opportunity for upselling and increasing customer basket spend. As well as letting customers choose non-food celebration items, bakers can promote order add-ons and offers with a menu of other items from their full retail product range.
