Forecourt Trader Summit 2026: A catch-up with Park Garage Group
March 17, 2026
We had a great day at the Forecourt Trader Summit 2026, held at The Belfry Hotel and Resort on Tuesday 24th February, catching up with retailers and talking all things bakery tech. One of the highlights was meeting Manoj Tandon from Park Garage Group.
Manoj shared the story behind their journey… and it’s a good one.
Park Garage Group was founded in 1979 by Manoj’s grandparents. It’s a true family business, built from the ground up after his parents came to the UK and opened their first forecourt. Decades later, that same drive and entrepreneurial mindset is still shaping the business today.
Out of that heritage came Bakery 79, a concept inspired by the idea of a traditional bakery, with the name itself paying tribute to the year it all began. What started as a way to introduce quality food-to-go across their forecourts has now grown into 15 bakeries nationwide.
As food-to-go continues to expand within the forecourt sector, the opportunity was clear. The real challenge was maintaining availability while keeping waste under control.
That’s where Cybake ISB came in.
Implementation
From the outset, Park Garage Group implemented Cybake ISB across all their bakeries as their production planning system. It wasn’t about adding technology for the sake of it. It was about putting the right structure in place from day one.
As Manoj explained, Cybake ISB gives their teams clarity. What to make. How much to make. When to make it.
No overproduction. No guesswork. Just the right products on the shelf at the right time.
The result? Improved availability for customers, reduced waste, and stronger profitability across their estate.
It’s a great example of how heritage and smart systems can work hand in hand, honouring where a business started, while building processes that support long-term growth.
Events like this are always a chance to hear these stories first-hand. And this one was definitely worth sharing!
