Win a prize and see our new deliveries app at the Craft Bakers & Butchers Extravaganza

September 25, 2017

We’re treating visitors to this year’s Craft Bakers & Butchers Extravaganza to a sneak peek of some brand new technology and the chance to win a great prize.

The biennial event is hosted by the Craft Bakers Association and The Confederation of Yorkshire Butchers Councils and takes place at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate on Sunday, October 8.

In keeping with the show’s regional theme, visitors to the Cybake exhibition stand will have the opportunity to take home a large canvas print of Yorkshire’s most famous street, The Shambles, situated just around the corner from our office (see above).

The Shambles, which dates back to at least the fourteenth century, derives its name from the Anglo Saxon “Fleshammels”, meaning “flesh-shelves”, because it originally consisted mostly of butchers shops. Nowadays, of course, it is also well known as being the inspiration for wizarding provisions thoroughfare Diagon Alley in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books.

What do you have to do to win this slice of photographic magic? First up, if you are coming to the show, get in touch with us now or come and see us on our stand when you arrive on the day, and we’ll issue you with some log in details.

With these, you will be able to use your phone to access the special competition app that we’ve created for the show. The app will ask you a series of five bakery-related multiple-choice questions throughout the day. Those with the most correct answers will be entered into a draw to win the prize, and we will announce the result towards the end of the event.

Our prize photo was taken by a familiar face to many Cybake users, account manager Andrew Throup, who doubles up as the impressive JPO Photography in his spare time. Our competition app is adapted from Cybake Inbound, our web ordering solution for wholesale bakers that we released back in July.

As well as our established range of bakery management solutions, the Cybake team will also be showing off a new product that we are developing provisionally called Cybake Outbound.

Cybake Outbound is a cloud-based solution for managing deliveries. Replacing paper delivery notes, drivers use Cybake Outbound on their phones. The app handles proof of deliveries, captures signatures, allows for true van stock reconciliation and cuts down on office staff having to enter adjustments on returns.

If you would like to try out Outbound for yourself and get a feel for how it – or any of our other software – works, do make sure to come and have chat with us. Whatever the size or scope of your bakery, we are familiar with the challenges you face and we have the solutions to overcome them.
