Meet the team: Richard Browning, customer success manager
October 7, 2026
In the first of a new series spotlighting members of the Cybake team, we talk to customer success manager Richard Browning.
Explain what you do at Cybake in simple terms.
I help new Cybake customers go live with the software as quickly and as smoothly as possible.
What does a typical day at Cybake look like for you?
A typical day will include some training calls, working on client data, system setup, testing, support calls and tickets – it can be quite a mixed bag!
What’s your favourite thing about working with bakeries?
Bakers are interesting characters and come from all walks of life. I love hearing their stories and what motivates them. Sometimes it’s lifelong bakers, other times it’s people who’ve chosen to bake to escape the rat race.
What’s one Cybake feature you think deserves more attention and wish more customers knew about?
Production lead times: helps you set aside your plain croissants to turn into almond croissants on day two.
What’s something about Cybake that customers are often surprised to discover?
That we’re a small, family run software company.
What’s one problem you love helping customers solve?
For a lot of my customers, when I first meet them they are using spreadsheets. I like to help them work through their sheets and translate their needs into Cybake, so they don’t have to use formulas anymore.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve seen a bakery do with Cybake?
Well obviously we are bakery-focused, but I’ve worked with all sorts: gelato makers, coffee roasters, two separate dairies and even a client that uses Cybake to forecast how much curry to make.
What have you learned about bakeries since joining Cybake?
I’ve learned that bread can be surprisingly complicated. For example, if you’re doing a sourdough, it needs two-to-three days or more to make in between prepping starters, mixing the dough, shaping, baking and finally delivering. We can help with all of those steps.
Describe Cybake in three words.
Versatile, convenient, (the company) human.
